Through the application of a two-components transparent or opaque topcoat, we obtain a pleasant rubbery feeling film, with excellent elasticity and impact resistance.

The application of the process following the guidelines of the notes that we describe in the process, is important for the achievement of the result.

RUBBER EFFECT PROCESS

Step 1: Primer application
Over MDF-boards, veneer or wood. Make a conventional seal of the surface with pigmented or transparent layers of primer.
Step 2: Sanding
Sand within 24 hours with chosen sand grit between 280 – 360.
Step 3: Rubber topcoat
After chosing the desired color, we apply the rubber topcoat (PG). Apply 1 or 2 layers of Rubber Topcoat. Preferably, apply 2 layers of 150 – 180 g/m2 per layer. If 2 layers are applied, wait around 3 – 4 hours before applying the second un-sanding layer. The thickness increasing of the totally applied layer is directly proportional to the increasing of the rubber effect. The drying time of the product is slow and varies according to the quantity. Stacking tests should be carried out to establish the minimum time needed.
